척추측만증이란?

정상적인 척추 외는 딜리 전반적인 척추가 5'자나 -'자 모양으로 심어지고, 동시에 척추 마디마디가 회전하여 들어지는 형태로, 단순하게 비틀어진 변형이 아니라 회전과 더불어 입체적으로 변형된 상태를 말합니다. 서서히 진행되기 때문에 대개 잘 모르고 지내다가 변형이 상당히 진행되어 등이 옆으로 구부러지고, 어깨 또는 골반의 표이가 달라 지거나, 한쪽 견갑골이나 둔부가 돌출된 것을 우연히 발견하고 내원하는 경우가 대부분입니다.
척추측만증은 대부분 10세 전후에 시작되어 특히 여학생에게 심하게 나타날 수 있고, 키가 크는 동안 계속 진행됩니다.
한번 힘 어진 척추는 성장기 동안 키가 크면서 그 각도가 점점 심해지게 되는데 발병 초기에 정확한 검진으로 30~40도 이상의 악성 측만증으로 심어지는 변형을 막는데 초점을 맞추어야 합니다.

What is Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side. Although it is a complex three-dimensional deformity, on an X-ray, viewed from the rear, the spine of an individual with scoliosis may look more like an"S" or a"C" than a straight line. Scoliosis is typically classified as either congenital (caused by vertebral anomaliespresent at birth), idiopathic (cause unknown, subclassified as infantile, juvenile, adolescent, or adult, according to when onset occurred), or neromuscular (having developed as a secondary symptom of another condition, such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy. or physical trauma. A lesser known underlying cause of scoliosis could be attributed to a condition called Chiari malformation.
